Yokoshiba Keiai High School takes advantage of the characteristics of a private high school to provide detailed instruction. In addition, we strive to create an educational environment that includes improving school facilities, and to become a vibrant school where students can enthusiastically participate in their studies, club activities, and school events. We
also develop educational activities as an attractive school where each student can achieve their career goals and realize their potential.

3. In order to help each student realize their career aspirations, we provide planned career guidance and aim for 100% of students to achieve their goals.
4. All teaching staff have a common sense of purpose, respect the human rights and individuality of students, and strive to develop social skills.
5. We aim for students and staff to realize the "joy of learning" and inherit the spirit of "respecting heaven and loving people." In cooperation with parents and the local community, we foster a spirit of gratitude and service to family and society.
Our school was founded in 1962 in what is now Sosa City as the boys' division of Chiba Prefectural Keiai High School. It moved to its current location in 1971 and was approved as Yokoshiba Keiai High School in 1975. It is a coeducational, full-time high school with a special college entrance course and a regular course.
The school's name, "Keiai," comes from the motto of the Meiji era great Saigo Takamori, "Respect Heaven and Love People."
The founder, Nagatoji Masashi, was impressed by the idea of "respect for heaven and love for people" and made this the founding spirit of the school, naming it after the place and respect for people.
At our school, we aim to develop students into people who embody the spirit of our founding and who realize their career goals by humbly disciplining themselves, while also showing compassion, respect, and infinite love for others, by respecting and pursuing the truth, and by cultivating a heart that loves others broadly.
To all junior high school students, we hope you have a fulfilling high school life at Yokoshiba Keiai High School.
Chairman: Kenji Kurosu
Thank you for visiting the Yokoshiba Keiai High School website.
A pillar that has remained unchanged throughout its 60-year history!
With "Respect for Heaven and Love for People" as the pillar of all our educational activities, we have been cultivating capable individuals who are "always humble, strictly self-disciplined, and have a broad heart and a true kindness that allows them to love others as well as themselves," and who can respond flexibly to the demands of each era, and have been supporting them in spreading their wings and taking flight in society.
"Always be humble and discipline yourself" here means to keep a fresh mind throughout your high school life. It is a strong mind that can always confront the complacency that comes from familiarity and the weak self that tends to become satisfied even when results are not achieved. It is the ability to keep a fresh mind in your daily life and to persevere in putting into practice what you have decided to do, in order to soar on your own in a wider world. We will do our best to support you in this endeavor.
"Loving others with an open heart" means overcoming the obstacles that stand before you through helping and supporting each other and building strong bonds of mutual trust. Once you set out into society, you will face a variety of obstacles, such as the uncertain international situation and continuing natural disasters. Even in times like these, the bonds and compassion for others that you have cultivated at this school will surely give you the strength to overcome any challenge. Please do not hesitate to ask for help if you are worried about your future or career path. A kind hand will surely be extended to you if you continue to look forward without giving up.
A new pillar of learning starting from 2025!
Learning at Yokoshiba Keiai High School is changing!
We will move on to the next stage by stepping up the learning we have cultivated so far, such as "10 minutes of reading in the morning," "Multi-Basic," and "Japanese Language Proficiency Test," in order to "build a foundation" that will solidify our learning foundation.
The new curriculum actively utilizes ICT, and through tablets and unique learning support software, students can learn more effectively and in line with the times, according to their individual learning progress. In terms of learning, it is important to first have a firm grasp of your current abilities. There is no need to be impatient about the difference in progress with others or your current abilities. It is okay to stop sometimes. We support each student in their learning, challenging themselves repeatedly without giving up, and not leaving things they do not understand unsolved, so that they can overcome their difficulties.
Things that must be preserved even as times change, and things that must change and grow with the times. Yokoshiba Keiai High School will not lose sight of these two pillars as we continue to carry out our unique educational activities. Here, you will find friends who are considerate of others above all else. We have a new system that builds a foundation for learning and allows effective learning tailored to each individual. Why not join us in opening the door to the future here?
